Ammon spent four weeks of summer taking swimming lessons.
He finished them up this week.
His best swimming skill is diving.
He usually retrieved more from the bottom of the pool than anyone else in his group.
His weakest area was the backfloat.
He told me that he likes to be more submerged in the water.
(Meaning he likes to have his face in. That's pretty hard to do with the backfloat)

This week we had a church softball game.
Dinner was included in the deal.
Tons of people from the ward showed up.
Turned out we were told the wrong day.
So - our family ended up going out to eat.
The picture of Andrew and Ammon is at our sponatneous dinner to the Rumbi Grill.
We ate outside; the weather was perfect!
Ammon found the stand for my camera this week.
He wanted to try it out.
Thus, you see the picture of him and me.
We took that ourselves - with the timer feature on my camera.
Peter has been a bit crazy this week.
But also, oh, so adorable.
He tried to catch the rain in his mouth.
He enjoyed a yummy cupcake.
He snuggled up for "resting" time on the couch.
(Probably one of the nights this week when we were ready to go to bed before he was.)
He had fun on the slide.
And cutest of all:
He picked me flowers.
(He loves to do that and I think it is just adorable - even if they're usually weeds!)
Other highlights from this week include meeting strange animals.
We saw some miniature horses which weren't too weird.
Then there was this other animal.
I don't remember what it was called.
My niece descibed it as being a cross between a cow and a camel.
That described it perfectly.
We also had our first dinner party at our new place.
Having not had my own kitchen for a few years, I'm a bit rusty on this.
I realized after the invitation had been made, that we didn't have enough chairs.
I figured the adults could just eat in the living room.
Instead, we ate in shifts.
The kids enjoyed their meal and then we sent them to play while we ate and visited.
The meal was a great kick off to some real great "brother" time.
Andy and Tim basically ignored the rest of us while they chatted the night away.
As I lamented not having planned out having Michael spend the night,
Everyone decided he could stay even without his provisions for the night.
So Ammon enjoyed a spontaneous slumber party!
The boys laughed and giggled until WAY too late.
The next morning we dropped off Michael and Ammon went to an awesome swim party.
In honor of Kylie's 6th birthday,
He had a blast!
From there he was rushed off to a movie.

Tim, Michael, Andrew and Ammon had a great time going to see Karate Kid together!
Everyone seemed to have had a wonderful time and Ammon was very excited to tell me about the awesome movie.
Overall, Ammon had a super awesome weekend!
