The second week of summer has worn me out!
But it's been fun.
On Monday the boys went swimming at my sisters house.
For me, this means kids entertained while I put my feet up and read a book.
Sadly, my camera was missing that day.
I took some pictures with Katy's camera.
Hopefully she'll get them to me at some point.
On Tuesday or Wednesday (is it sad I can't remember?) we hit the spray park.
Unfortunately, we chose the coldest day of the week to go there.
But it was still fun.
Ammon even ran into a friend from his Kindergarten class.
We are going to miss being in this area.
On Thursday, I let the kids play with cousins while I got ready for our move.
On Friday we took a load to DI and then headed to a puppet show in the park.
We arrived at the same time as our cousins.
After the show we spent a lot of time exploring the park grounds.
There were bridges and gardens and play equipment.
It was a HOT day, but no one seemed to mind.
That evening we had a family night at the movies.
Andy and I have enjoyed going to the drive in about once a year.
Last year we brought our boys and hopefully started a fun tradition.
For days they have been looking forward to watching a movie in the truck!
Usually I am the one who doesn't get in the pictures, but this year we managed to leave Andy out.
He was definitely there though.
Drive in movie night would NOT happen without Daddy power.
He took charge of all the truck loading and unloading, as well as parking and positioning us for the show.
I refuse to drive the HUGE truck so we're glad he was there to make it all happen for us.
We had pizza and glowsticks and treats while we watched Toy Story 3.
On Saturday morning we had a chance to visit with Andy's cousin.
Andy doesn't have many cousins, and he doesn't often see the ones he has.
He hasn't seen cousin Patrick for over 20 years, so this was extra fun for him.
Patrick was amazing with all the kids.
He loves soccer and entertained the kids by running around in the backyard.
I don't know if he's done this, but he would be a great coach for a little league soccer team.
We went straight from our visit with Andy's cousin, to visit with mine.
She also just happened to be in town.
(Although it defintely hasn't been 20 years since I've seen her!)
Katy hosted a great backyard BBQ and the kids had fun playing.
And now I'm ready for some serious sleep time!

You guys are like the funnest family ever, I am going to come move in with you so I can have fun, okay? :)
ReplyDeleteFun week! Lot's of great activities with lots of various people.
ReplyDeleteWay to call me out for not getting you the pictures yet. :-) I am the worst/slowest when it comes to getting the pictures from the camera to the computer. For some reason this fairly simple/quick process is such a dreaded chore for me! But I will get those pictures to you someday.
Wow! What a busy week. I wish Georgia would get the memo about splash parks, it's a perfect place for them, but there are none to be found.
